Dr. Ky Solomon, Managing Director of Kapital One Solutions, & Executive Director of IM LIFE 501(c)(3) Nonprofit. Dr. Solomon- a Fort Worth resident who came to Texas in the Fall of 2012 to start a career in Higher Education at the University of Texas Arlington has a wealth of knowledge as an educator, and small business marketing consultant. Community engagement has been a passion for Kylon throughout his years of working with cities, chambers of commerce, and community-based organizations. Kylon is is front and center when volunteers are needed. Kylon is an active member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc, the National Association of Square Mile Communities, and a host of other civic organizations. Kylon expertise and processes that empower citizens to be engaged in the development and sustainability of their communities lead him to participate in community programmings such as Advertising and promotions, and Economic Development. Dr. Solomon is a native of Texarkana Arkansas. Dr. Solomon graduated from The University of Central Arkansas, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication; and has earned a Masters in Education Administration from Henderson State University. In 2014 he completed a Doctorate of Education in Community College Leadership from Walden University. Most recently studied Social Media Marketing at New England College of Business After graduation, Kylon launched his career in Radio Broadcasting for Clear Channel Radio as an Associate Director of KOSY Praise 790 AM Gospel Radio Station and the President of Operation of Tykoon Studio & Modeling. Under his leadership, KOSY 790 AM became Texarkana’s First 24hr Urban Gospel radio station. There is where he grew his passion for leadership development. Kylon began the fall semester at Henderson State University working on his Masters in Education Administration. Thus starting a career within Education in Higher Education and Public/Charter School (K-12) . Kylon has worked as Math &Science Teacher, Dean of Students, and Computer Technology Teacher totaling seven-year career in education in the Public/Charter School. He has also served as a Career Transition Director for Little Rock Job Corp and Assistant Director of Housing at Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock Arkansas, Associate Director of Recruitment at University of Texas Arlington, and the Graduate Assistant in Greek/Fraternity Life & Graduate Student Assistant of Enrollment at Texas A&M Texarkana.
